C.D.MONTESINOS CRUISE PAST LEAGUE LEADERS‏
Cubano, Dimitir, Becker, Sanchez, Fernando, Rubio, Ma, Andres, Macan, Andres (2) and Vasquinho.

The real C.D.Montesinos (CDM) played away at league leaders Benejuzar this week, and after harsh words from Manager Juanpe the players turned in a magnificent performance to gain a comfortable 2-0 away victory. It could easily have been 5 they played so well!

With Juanpe serving a 1 match touchline ban, he again went with 3 at the back and attacking wing backs in Dimitry and Ma as well as the favoured Macan and Vasquinho up front.

It was Vasquinho who had the first real chance when he rounded the keeper early in the game, but shot wide. Soon after, there were more missed chances as the opposing keeper made three excellent saves from Macan who should have scored
.
There were grumblings about these missed opportunities as CDM were so on top of the league leaders, but justice was done when great work by no 10 Macan enabled a cross to Vasquinho, who made no mistake firing low into the bottom right corner on the stroke of half time, to give CDM a fully deserved lead.

The second half saw no change in the pattern of play, and again early missed chances were plentiful from CDM. Macan ran clean through and slipped, just as he was about to pull the trigger and then Vasquinho rounded the keeper and shot wide.

Time and time again the Benejuzar defenders could not keep up with the blistering pace of the Brazilian, and twice hauled him down when he was clean through, with the referee only giving yellow cards when a straight Red was the correct call.

Finally, though the result was beyond doubt when Vasquinho ran through and scored his and CDM’s 2nd goal with a wonderful
chip over the on-rushing goalkeeper, Portero.

There was still time for the Referee to issue more yellows, and one red card to each side to leave the game with 10 cards per side.

In summary, a fantastic performance which put the league leaders in their place and without some of the poor finishing from CDM, this game could have been a rout!
