K2A Kids to Adult working with the children at the Elche Childrens Home

This week our aim is to get all the classes in place for the 5-6 o'clock period. So far, we have got an English class, a guitar lesson, a jewellery making class, I.T for definite. In the pipeline and just waiting for confirmation is Zumba, art and 1 or 2 other suggestions in the pipeline in you have any other suggestions of would like to offer any services to us by way of classes etc

It is Vital these children are taught the life skills they will need in later life
We need businesses to come forward to offer paid work experience positions on Saturday morning/afternoon
We already have 3 children in very successful work placements and these children are such hard workers and want to achieve they are willing and want to learn

We also have an urgent need for good quality unbreakable gasses, cups plates bowls etc the type that has plenty of staying power and are dishwasher safe we really run out of crockery and glasses frequently and this would be such a great help as having 28 plus children to cater for 4 times a day this gets quite hectic

Also thank you to all the people who have sent emails regarding the car giving for these children we will reply to all emails as soon as possible.
Care giving is such an important next step for these children as currently there is no system in place teaching these children the valuable skills they need to use in adult life and I urge anyone who thinks they would be able to take one of these children on a temporary basis teaching them skills in your own homes but with full back up support of K2A I urge you to please contact me via email [email protected] your support is immeasurable to these fantastic children they all have so much to give and just need a fighting chance to prove themselves

We are also continuously looking for donations of raffle / tombola prizes for our events to raise much needed funds and welcome anything suitable if you may have any items you wish to donate then please email [email protected]
